Terrible Writer

Hi there! I’ve been writing a story for quite awhile and have shared it with some friends. But I would like to broaden who can read it. I haven’t gotten very far in the story honestly, but either way? I would like it if you might give it a read.

So I want to write a story from this prompt:
          
          “256 Childern around the world with an identical birth mark on their wrists”
          
          But change the number to 326, and move the mark to their bicep. I also want them all to have powers manifest once they turn a certain age- I was thinking 18, but I’m not too sure.
          
          There’s a lot things I’m uncertain about, and I need to build the world that they would live in. What the setting would be like. What do I want these people to go through to reach their goals. And most importantly; what is their goal. I need to figure out setting, plot, characters, and much more. 
          
          But I’m lost on that one, and I would love to have some help on building this story. Of course, I know asking for help wouldn’t come easily. I’m just looking for ideas. And of course, I will give you credit for helping me build the story’s outline and everything else you’d help me do.

          I’m going on a cruise next Thursday, with my Dad, little brother, older brother, my dads girlfriend and her Mom.
