          Things just got a lot more complicated for Samaira and a lot more James. After the kind of night that leaves cracks in more than just a doorframe, Sasha's about to disappear for two weeks of "management training" (sure, Sasha) 😏, and the only person she trusts to keep an eye on Samaira is the last person Samaira wants camped in her apartment.
          
          Cue: reinforced doors, a camera she didn't ask for, a lock she definitely didn't approve, and a man who communicates almost exclusively through home security upgrades and mild condescension.
          
          Two weeks. One apartment. Zero personal space.

          james called her a beacon and then went home and made chai and was furious about both
          samaira paced her room and picked up her phone four times and put it down four times
          lev was so genuinely kind during the breakup that i felt bad about what's coming for everyone
          someone fired a gun

          anyone being normal about any of this
          me recovering from writing that last line

          okay so. TWO YEARS of these idiots.
          
          a girl who came to moscow to disappear. a man who knew exactly who she was before she knocked on his sister's door. two years of sunday mornings and four word answers and a name said wrong on purpose.
          
          and then one dinner where james volkov opened his mouth and said the most unhinged honest thing and i have not recovered since writing it.
