Ransomed son. Dragon. Explorer. Dreamer. Friend. Many etch their story on skin, mine bleeds onto the page. I hail from wide open skies and frozen fields where fierce storms try to challenge the resilient folks in lawn chairs enjoying the show. When I'm not soaring through clouds, I lay my head down in the queen city Cincinnati, Ohio.
Tyrant of Thorns is a short story that can be read separately from my published series A Tale of Mist and Shadow, though it is in the same world. It's been a long time in the making, with more than a few shed tears. I really hope you enjoy it!
"I am [in your world].' said Aslan. 'But there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there."
Know this:
You aren't forgotten. You're not some disposable cog in society's elaborate pointless contraption that doesn't really do anything. You're called, not to a destiny, you're called by a name. May this story be but a guide and a glimpse leading you to discover that name and your role in the greatest story ever told.
When He said my story needed to be told, I laughed. He insisted.
He told me truth isn't about you, or me. This story is about we.
