That image crosses a line when it comes to Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook as real people. Regardless of shipping or fandom spaces, they are human beings with boundaries, dignity, and the right to not be represented in ways that are humiliating or degrading. When images like that are used publicly, it can be very harmful to how they’re perceived and to their personal well-being.
As fans, whether of BTS in general or Taekook specifically, we often talk about loving and protecting them. To me, that also means being mindful of the kind of content we share or display. Supporting them shouldn’t come at the cost of their respect or humanity.
Especially after the recent incident where a massive number of inappropriate fabricated images of idols were uncovered, this issue feels even more serious. That situation made it clear how damaging and violating this kind of content can be, and why fans need to be more careful and responsible moving forward. Even unintentionally, keeping a profile picture like this contributes to the same culture that enables those harms.
I’m not trying to attack you or start a fight. I just genuinely hope you’ll reconsider the profile picture and think about how it reflects on the artists we care about. Protecting them means choosing respect, even when no one is forcing us to.
