OMG, I like never find anyone who has heard of D. Grey-Man. It's like one of my favorites!!

I have a quick CHARACTER DESIGN QUESTION, open to everyone...
          
          Imagine this character. Young male, tan skin, and pointed ears. Ice-blue eyes that often become a focus point in descriptions. Dark blue hair, the back in a low ponytail. Relatively simple clothes, mainly with a black and dark green palette.
          
          He also has a maroon, relatively intricate tattoo that takes up most of his left cheek. This also becomes a focal point, in some parts of the story.
          
          Do you have a good visual of this character? Now that you do, would it be TOO MUCH to add a mask to his design? For lack of a better comparison, the type you would see on a ninja. 
          
          I mean, this guy already has a comparatively large tattoo on his face, which in itself has significance to the story...At the same time, he's a thief-type character that relies heavily on stealth, so a mask may be fitting.
          
          What is your vote? 
          
          - Mask makes sense, go for it!
          or
          - Mask is too much, leave it off!

I have a spoiler-free character design question, and would love all opinions! 
          
          On a side note, sorry I've been so quiet lately! Believe it or not, I'm still busy doing revisions of action scenes in the TFR series. As I've mentioned before, the story is still totally in place, but you'll find the fights much more...intense ;)
          
          So, I have a character who's becoming more important in my series, and though I don't have a picture of her at this time, this is her description: she is an Aubade Sylph, meaning a mortal with an extremely pale skin tone and long, pointed ears. She is about in her thirties, built slightly tall and muscular, and she's a soldier. She has brown eyes and long silver hair that she keeps tied in a ponytail, with standard bangs. She wears violet-tinted armor with a very dark gray skin-tight undersuit. She carries a longsword with a slight lavender sheen (the colors of her tribe's flag are purple and white/silver).
          
          I want to give her a little redesign to go with her evolution, and the idea is that she becomes much edgier. Some ideas I had were adding a vibrant red sash to her armor (though I hesitate because red is the emblematic color of her enemies), or I could add some gold trim to the armor. I was especially in a tossup about her hair; should I just take it out of a ponytail, add some accessories, or even make it shorter? How short, if I cut it? 
          
          Let me hear your ideas, and I'll try to post a chibi drawing of the before and after! Sorry I can't handle anything more than chibis...Although, if you happen to like the chibi art, I am open to requests (note: the chibi icon in my profile pic is very outdated, so don't use that for a reference, lol)

*When the most challenging part of your writing project is the fight scenes and you finally get complimented on them after years of trying to improve them.* It was so minor and I don't want this to be taken as bragging, but that made my day 
          
          Of course I'm looking for tips and opinions on all factors of my work, and I encourage all feedback whether it's critical or not, but there are some specifics that just really sit with you (kind of like some of the negative comments), you know? lol.

So, kind of a heavy subject, but you guys might've noticed an update to the first of the TFR books. Following an anonymous request, I decided to post a short list of "warnings" for some themes that the book entails. Some of these themes I didn't find bothersome enough to post a warning initially (jeez that says a lot about me), which is why this is only coming up now.
          
          As you guys may know, since I've said this before, the TFR books are rated "Mature" on Wattpad, but I firmly believe they would have a "Teen" rating in actual book terms. They have violence, some chapters can get pretty gory, and the characters will drop some language --not frequently, but it happens.
          
          On top of that, there's the new warning I put up, which is more crucial to the first book than others, and it regards the sensitive subject of mental health. So, if you didn't know, there are descriptions of depression, anxiety, and hallucinations. Then there are some allusions or elaborate metaphors that can be drawn from Kita's story, for better or worse.
          
          So, now that that's covered, I feel obligated to ask. Do you guys have experience with cases like this? Also, have any of you, who might've skimmed through the first TFR book, noticed these themes and were bothered by them? Was this a common thread I didn't notice, or was this anonymous poster (with all due respect and no judgment) just a more sensitive case that I didn't plan for? More importantly, did you guys find something else that should've come with a warning that the "Mature" rating doesn't cover?

          Snape   (after the Harry Potter character)

Just a little warning!
          
          The ending chapters to "The Forsaken Race 3 - Quest Of Blood" will be temporarily down for tonight, all of tomorrow, and possibly the day after. I will get them back up ASAP, and I'm planning on three days, four at most. I'm adding a little bonus content to really make things  "pop" more, and delve deeper into Kita and her feelings about her past (no spoilers!), and doing some renovations on the fight scene to make it work better.
          
          Sorry if this inconveniences anybody, but thanks for supporting the TFR series! :)
