Ok so I've seen everyone else put in their hats in the ring, so here's mine.
Black lives matter. If you don't agree, or wanna say "All Lives Matter" to disempower the movement, you can go ahead and remove me.
Systemic racism needs to end, police brutality needs to end, Racism in general needs to end.
People should be able to live however they choose without fear of being killed for being who they are, without the fear of dying because of their skin color.
People should not be dying, Period. No debate, no buts, no "they deserved it"s.
People should not be dying because of how they were born. They should not be dying because of police officers profiling them. They should not be erased, told their culture is offensive when it is an expression of them and their past and the awful things that they've reclaimed to empower themselves should be theirs and theirs alone. They need it.
These are people too.
And I ask you, before you post an angry comment lecturing me because I'm only a teen who has "no idea what they're talking about," What if the roles were reversed? What if it was you, being profiled on the side of the road, terrified of the cops because you've heard how they've shot other people just like you? How would you feel if you were told to deny you culture, your history, never having learned about it in school in the first place? How would you feel if you were in the minority, and groups were getting together planning to slaughter you, your friends, your family, and everyone like you?
Black Lives Matter. End of discussion.
