I'm in my French class and the sub is reading an Avatar: The Last Airbender comic book.

Guys, guys, guys, guys!

          In my French class (there's a theme, I know), we finally started reading from our French pen pals!

          One of my friends sits right in front of me. I've been friends with him for a few years and he recently came out (to only his friends) as trans. He had been debating on whether or not to use he/him pronouns in the letter when the BEST FRIGGIN' THING HAPPENED.

          Turns out, his pen pal is also trans! He was freaking out and I was so happy with him!

Awww! That’s so great for him!

Another fun thing happened in my French class.

          'Vous' is such a weird word when seeing it as an English speaker. It's supposed to be 'you' (formal) or 'you' (plural).

          It's hard for me to comprehend. Then, my teacher said something that just made it click.

          Vous = y'all

It’s also a demonstration of respect or you use it when you’re talking to somebody older

My French teacher was telling us about differences in hygiene between France and America.

          French person: We don't use long lasting deodorant because the aluminum and chemicals will give you cancer. *takes long drag from cigarette they got addicted to at 14*

Me as a French feeling offended then remember I have at least ten of my friends that smoke since they are 11-12

I casually mentioned the I Survived series that I read a lot in elementary school.

          Father: Well, in a few years, you can say that 'you survived the Biden presidency!'

          Me, an ace with many friends in the community and refuses to discuss anything with my parents especially the man who wants to kill us all: *internal sobbing*

          It was just so sudden and it felt like I was punched. I think I'm actually about to cry.

Help.

          I can only advise and all my advise is gone and there's still a problem.

          How do you comfort someone with heart problems? (As in emotions, not physical heart disease)

Amithisia

It certainly can. It can be helpful to know some is there and willing to listen, even if there’s nothing else that can be done

            I'll try. It usually ends with us just sitting in silence eventually. Just be a presence of stability, right?

Sometimes the best you can do is just listen and be supportive.

Another Experience to cross off the list!

          DnD sesh. Our dm had planned to have a great adventure of rescuing our npc companion from the ocean or going after the siren who stabbed her. We chose our friend. The plan was to go after her, maybe safe her as she was probably dead, then get attacked by pirates.

          We spent, like, 10 mins discussing what we would do, until one player revealed that she could shape-shift. She turned into a kraken, saved our friend, then destroyed all but one pirate ship while I resurrected our friend on the back of our dragon.

          The dm was slightly irritated. I loved it.

@liontamer1234
            Highly recommend! Especially if you play with a group of friends. Maybe there's some sort of dnd store near you. I know the one near me has day where you can walk in and ask to join a group on Wednesdays.
