I've been thinking about what I said last night, and I've decided to continue writing because it brings me joy. However, I won't post any chapters here until I see an improvement in engagement. I believe that's fair. I'm tired of the constant "VOTE, COMMENT, FOLLOW..." requests while still receiving no response. I notice that people read the chapters I publish the same day, but they don’t engage. It's hard not to feel this way when I've been asking for engagement in every chapter. 
          
          I might also take a break from Instagram, but I’m not sure yet; it really depends on the level of engagement I receive. 
          
          Additionally, I want to let you know that the prologue and blurb have been published, and all chapters will be available on Inkitt by tomorrow. and all chapters will be published on INKITT by tomorrow.

I have been avoiding this topic for long enough. I have my exams and a lot more going on in my personal life. If it wasn't for the pent-up frustration, I probably wouldn't be writing this.
          I never thought that my book would cross 1k+ reads, really, but seeing 1.7k reads with just 225 votes makes me wonder if it is an achievement or not, because readers not giving me any review confuses me and makes me question myself- ‘is it silent readers or do I just need to improve my skills?” 
          Engagement matters to writers more than you think. Still, here I am planning ahead, outlining, and showing up despite a packed schedule. If you think it's all for numbers, it's not. It's for the few who genuinely care and stay. If you’re one of them: thank you. Your reads, votes and comments are the reason this story continues.
          Seeing a handful of people genuinely support me is the reason my first book, which was meant to be a standalone, turned into a full series. That much belief does things to a writer. But I won’t pretend that low engagement doesn’t demotivate me at times. It does. And if I ever step back, just know this was the reason. 
          Edits and writing take a lot more time than you can even imagine– even I was shocked the first time I wrote– I clearly remember getting frustrated when I wrote the first chapter for an hour (1k words), and the ‘minutes left’ since the start was 3 to 5 minutes. Now that I write 2k to 2.5k words, it takes me at least 2 hours to write and edit the chapter publish it. And I do it by sleeping less– barely 4 hours on a busy day, although the doctor told me to rest and consume medicines at the visits at the clinic.
          This isn’t a threat. Neither is it a sympathy-gaining trick. 
          It’s simply me being honest about how I feel.
          If you care, show it– read, vote, comment. That’s all it takes.
          Engagement is how writers know their work matters.

Happy New Year, my lovelies 
          I hope this year brings you soft moments, strong hearts and stories that stay with you long after you close the app.
          I genuinely thought I’d wrap up the flashback by Chapter 20– but turns out, this past has a lot more to say. There are layers, turns, and essential revelations, because this flashback isn’t just nostalgia… It’s the very foundation of the present chapters.
          Every twist here shapes what’s coming next. Every memory matters.
          So yes– the flashback will continue a little longer than planned, but trust me, it’s leading somewhere important.
          Also, a little something special for this year 
          Alongside the main story, I’ll be uploading short stories under a separate book titled Fleeting Stories– small, emotional moments, brief loves, quiet heartbreaks and fragments that deserve to be felt, even if they don’t last forever.
          Thank you for being patient, for feeling the story the way I do and for staying with these characters through their past so we can understand their present better.
          Here’s to more emotions, more chaos, and more unforgettable chapters in 2026
