hi, sorry to bother you, but how is 5 seconds of summer not a band? they make their own music, writes their own songs etc. i'm just curious :)

@IdioticPineTrees by definition they are a band specifically a boy band. By fangirl standards they are a boyband. By urban dictionary standards they are an actual band. By comparison standards they are a group of guys who play instruments and sing. This is due to the fact that they launched their career by touring with 1D and hence will never be taken as seriously as they want. Unfortunate but at least they're getting laid and paid and that's usually the reason people start bands.
