Today I decided to take a slight risk. I decided to submit my story The Wild Orchid into the Watty awards for 2023. I was hesitant about it at first but, then I Thought about how well my story has done and how much I've grown as a writer. To no submit it would not be doing right by my loyal readers as well as myself. I'm now just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. Win or not I can honestly say I don't regret submitting it.

@HarbringerOfChaos it's so shocking to me that my book is having this effect on u. I'm just so shocked. I wasn't expecting this. It makes me so happy to know that my book has this effect on a reader of mine

@ElderLuluFire It's still being worked on. I have only gotten my first three chapters done so far and will be continuing on it today.
Hi there :) For me, writing is all about building something wonderful with my writing partner, but once we actually started putting stuff online, i’s been a real joy to share our worlds with other people. I think it’s good to focus on what kind of resounding feelings you can impart to your audience <3 I wish you all the luck!

@Michelle007 that's very true. If you wanted to check it out the title of my book is The Wild Orchid. It's still being worked on. I have only gotten my first three chapters done so far and will be continuing on it today.
@RayneBervy Congratulations! Take the plunge and embrace that creative aspect you were gifted with. I think every author has a sense of anxiousness when they begin; after all, we are all human - we want people to like our work !

@RayneBervy I started writing in 2016 with no idea about how to write a story. All I had were some ideas, a few characters in mind and it all just happened. We can never be too sure about our work. Just go with the flow is what I believe in. I would love to read your work. Don't think too much about it and you'll be fine.
