M.G. (Maria Guadalupe, aka Lupita) Reyes was born in Mexico City but moved to England as a young child. Before becoming a writer, I worked as a scientist and ran an Internet business.

I'm the author of a best-selling series teen adventure series, The Joshua Files, (authored as M.G. Harris) which have been translated into 16 languages.  

EMANCIPATED is my first foray into contemporary realist fiction for young adult readers. The idea for the series arose from late-night email discussions with fellow YA author Michael Grant, a fascination with beach life and Californian road trips, and with twisty, crimey stories where Bad Things Happen to Nice People, like FARGO. 

EMANCIPATED is the first of a trilogy. So far it's been translated into three other languages; Dutch, French, and Italian.

I'll be putting a big chunk of EMANCIPATED here in the run up to May 2016, when the ebook of the first book in the series will go on sale for $1.99, until the release of INCRIMINATED, the second book of the series.

I'm new to Wattpad but my teenage daughter is a huge fan and seems to be pretty popular in her corner of the Wattpad world - she writes fanfic about two cute YouTubers. (No, I'm not allowed to tell you her username.)
