I was the quintessential daydreamer. I aspired to be a published author for as long as I could remember, spending countless hours writing my stories in lieu of homework. But, the whimsical little dreamer grew up, and keeping a roof over my head and food in my belly was not going to pay for itself. Thus, I got a job or two, enrolled in classes at the community college, and ever since my life moved in hyper speed. One moment I was young and carefree, and the next I was a wife and mother of three.
I settled for a more practical job that's better suited for my family's needs. As I maneuvered through the daily challenges in adulthood, my time became less and less of my own. However, my children's natural progression towards independence has its silver lining and spare time eventually found its way back to me, allowing me to indulge more in my favorite past-times which included a lot of reading, and in turn, my dormant imagination sparked back to life.
