            sure I do!

I think one of the most important things to consider when trying to start writing a book is to gather some motivation. If not, it’s quite common to hit a dry spell of no motivation or ideas when writing. Personally, when I want to first start out writing a book, I’ll always get my creative juices running by going onto Pinterest and searching up images related to my story. It helps me visualise and better plan out settings and lines.

Also, if you are trying to write a first chapter, you must always think about appealing to your audience and getting them hooked. So you’ll always want an interesting opening line and don’t too thoroughly explain everything. Leave some mystery and some details up to imagination. Readers don’t like it if you try to force your personal vision on them too much. Just relax and tell your story in a manner that leaves your readers space to think.

Opening lines are also reaaaalllly important! For example, which story will you most likely continue reading if their opening lines were like this:

“It was raining the moment Suki arrived at the castle. It was also raining on the night she died.”

            OR

“It was a dark and stormy night…”

Of course, you’d be more inclined to read the first one. Why? Because it brings up questions.

Who is Suki? What is the castle? Why did she die? How did she die?

            And so on

I hope this helps you out, and I wish you all the best in your writing adventure!! :))))
