            It is fun . * Beverly giggled , absentmindedly drawing patterns on the sand with her finger . * we do it for fun , or to teach them a lesson . They just don’t seem to understand why so many of them drown because they keep polluting our ocean .

They / totally / had it coming . ” she casually defended herself , twirling one of her red curls . “ whatever . And technically , I’m at the legal age to marry when it comes to sirens . So I’m not a kid . ”
