@Blurryface1304 And it's even worse because the teacher caught you rewriting some creepypasta stories so they checked your work first because, duh, you write dark short stories in your free time anyway. And it somehow gets more bad because they tell you this the next day and all you can do is sit there in shock as they point out your use of an extended metaphor and the excellent sensory description, despite the fact that you're 11 and one of the youngest in the class and you haven't learnt any of this in class yet. And then they go, "So you like horror?" And you just nod because you're awkward af. And they continue like, "What's your favorite scary movie? Have you watched Stranger things? What's the most terrifying book you've read so far?" But your answers are just like, "The only horror movie I've ever seen is Tremors. I can't watch Stranger things because the only 16+ stuff I'm allowed to watch is Star Wars and Rocky Horror. And the closest thing to a good horror book I've ever read was Sawbones. The only thing this is based on is a video game series about robot bears (which I haven't really researched) and some mysterious murders. To be honest, I was going to rewrite the Laughing Jack Creepypasta because that sucked but I figured that wasn't creative enough." And then the teacher adjusts their glasses and funky hat and just walks the flip away in mild shock. But then in the PTC's they tell your mother that you're incredibly talented and that you should write something for the school paper and join the English VAP next year but they're a tiny bit worried by the fact that you could write a story with such a morbid description of something seemingly just odd with 0 planning and barely any research in just 1 hour.
...No? Oh. Nevermind then...
