So we put out a live trap to capture a stray cat in our neighborhood, whom we call Toffee. I said not to let our cats out in case they got trapped instead. Mom argued that they were too smart, and let my cat Ali out. Within the first minute, Ali had gone inside the live trap and tripped the system, I came out to Mom holding the thing open. I had to undo the latch at the back—while crouching in my socks in the snow with only a T-shirt on—and we tipped our dumb cat out. So: our cats are not smart enough to avoid the live trap. This is a good omen for trapping this stray.

So. My swing broke. Well, actually, the strap that was holding it onto the tree broke. While I was on it. I’m okay though! Just a bit bruised. The plan is now to take down our Pride flag for the winter and use those straps for the swing. In the meantime, I’ll just read, I guess. 
          But on another note, I’m going to Barnes and Noble today! I wish I could say I was getting A Light in the Mist (new Warriors book), but I am getting a book called Golden Gate, book two in the City Spies series. I’m very excited!

So it’s snowing here. 

Has anyone else read Zeroes by Scott Westerfield and some other people? If you haven’t this won’t make sense to you but… I know this song, She Wants Me (To Be Loved) and I realized that it sums up Ethan and Kelsie’s relationship (or lack of one) pretty well! Ethan would be singing of course, though the thought of him singing makes me cringe 

Okay. Reasons why my middle school is awesome, ‘cause why not! 
          
          1. There’s a free book rack in the library. I literally got almost the entire Ranger’s Apprentice books from there, plus pretty much all of Spirit Animals 
          2. Teachers are awesome, especially the Social Studies and Language Arts ones 
          3. There’s a swing set and it’s awesome and I spend all of recess on it
          4. The library is HUGE and is wonderful but I think the high school has a bigger one 
          5. The kids are pretty cool. Some of them. Not all of them. (I’m looking at you, football boys) 
          
          The first one is the first one because it’s just… ahfhhgjffsgusvjrh I love the free book rack! Plus there’s a free book table in the foyer
