I have now technically met Reece 4 times. Once at westfield southland and the other 3 yesterday at his Ballarat show. This time last year I would legit be in my room crying because I truly believed I would never meet my idol.
I wanted to meet him so bad with all my heart but some reason a part of me was scared because I didn't want to say something and have him think i'm a weirdo.
The truth is he is literally one of the most kind hearted people EVER. I know I say this about every encounter I have with people but it is actually because its nothing but the truth. You might also think I just say this about Reece because he is my idol but that is also not true.
Before the show in Ballarat he could have easily put his head down and walked straight through the doors, but no he stopped and said hi to us all.
Also he didn't have to do that signing for his fans, he didnt have to have a thing where if you brought merch you were given a ticket to meet him. Another thing you may say at signings he is fake or is paid for it but it's not that hard to tell when someone is genuinely happy to be there. I'm pretty sure when he starts blushing at a pic of him and Rhiannon and his face lights up that isn't fake. You can always tell he smiles so bright and his eyes sparkle because he loves truly loves meeting his fans.
Lastly he did not have to talk to us as he was walking to his van, no one was forcing him to do that. Another thing once he was in the van he took pictures with fans through the glass, he even kissed one through glass.
I guess the moral of this is please don't hate on the kid. I understand if he's music isn't your cup of tea, but you should still respect him as a person. There is nothing in the world wrong with him, he is sweet, kind, generous and most of all talented. If you don't know him enough to at least know what he does for his fans I don't think you are really entitled to an opinion because you clearly do not have enough knowledge on Reece to judge him.
