Hello, Reinventor.

So... those of you who follow me already know this, but I have Whispers of the Silent Age coming out on Jan. 10th. 
          
          Today the review went public and somehow... 
          we got top spot on the Reedsy discovery page!
          
          No worries... I'm not taking anything down here or stopping my posting, but this means actual sales and validation. It's huge. (at least to me)

Good morning, -Kin!
          
          So… some of you may have noticed a slight change today. New year, new name, am I right?
          
          Last night, as I lay in bed, I came to the conclusion that Whispers of the Silent Age really needs to be a standalone work. It lays the foundation for Benku’s further adventures, but it completes its arc and leaves everyone happy and content.
          
          Which meant the next two books needed a bit of re-framing.
          
          I tossed around ideas, added some spitballs, and a touch of coffee. (Mmm… sweet, creamy coffee… ) And I finally landed on a new series name: The Path of Whispers.
          
          But then I needed a new title for Book 2—
          which is technically Book 1 now ‍—
          
          Since this part of the story takes them through the necropolis—where they meet Taro and Persephone—I wanted something that felt cyclical. And lo and behold, the Greek word for change or transformation is Metabolē.
          
          It all kind of clicked for me.
          
          I hope it works for you too.
          If not… well, no more Taro cuddles.

          The publishing company I was hoping to land wasn't what I expected. I did get accepted, but it is an app only read. 
          
          The company does offer free editing assistance and some other benefits, so not a total loss. I will be adding the book to their library soon.  Look for link to that to follow shortly.
          
          BUT... since that wasn't a distributor, as I thought they were, I've gone ahead and released book 1 on KDP, B&N, Fable, Kobo, etc... 
          (having issues with Google Books, but that's a different story)

          It's a crazy time we live in. This last year has been a roller-coaster.
          
          I'm not one for resolutions, or to believe in wishes, but let's all hope and work towards making 2026 better for everyone. 
          
          Send love, not hate. Compliment, don't demean. Be kind to people, both online and IRL. And seek out those who would do the same.

          It’s supposed to be a season of happiness and joy, but for many that isn’t the reality—and lately it can feel like the world is pressing in from all sides, especially with how interconnected we all are.
          
          But connection is still the key.
          
          If you need it, reach out. Don’t be afraid to express how you’re feeling. Don’t hide it and let it build until it explodes.
          
          Reach out—to a friend, a counselor, a family member you trust. Anyone who can offer comfort, care, or support when you need it most.
          
          And if you don’t have anyone, you can reach out to me. I’m no good at saying the right things, but I am a good listener.
          
          (Just don’t hold it against me if your emotions wind up in one of my characters someday )
          
          But seriously—don’t let the holidays drag you down. Don’t let the weight of the world settle on your shoulders alone.

Just a heads up. Yesterday I finished Book 3 of Whispers of the Silent Age. This concludes the trilogy and wraps it all up in a wonderfully neat bow.
          There are still many edits to do, and I'm sure changes will be made---but if you are following along and feel the suspense of whether or not there will be more coming---GOOD NEWS! There is. 
          Also. Book 3 brings in a new layer, not only of characters and family, but just like Taro grew up quick, this book reads more mature.
          Just thought I would share the exciting news with everyone. I definitely hope this keeps you glued to the screen! (I know it has with me for months)
