Here’s a short snippet of my new story “Good Gone Bad” (name is going to change, because I don’t think this does it justice).

“Throwing my feet ahead of me, I slam myself into Wayland. Careful not to hurt him, my hands clasp onto the sides of his face, my fingertips grazing the stubble growing along his jaw. Light meets dark, our eyes against a black-brown, and I whisper with ferocity, ‘Wayland I am *not* leaving your side. I don't care if we only met a few month's ago, I *need* you. I can't loose you now, and I'm not going to. Whatever you're going through, whatever I'm going through, we'll do it *together*. *Please*.’ My voice cracks, but I don’t care, as my focus is on the watchfulness of his careful gaze.”

(P.s. sorry— the italics wasn’t working! The “*” means that that word should be italicized).
Yes, Jean and Wayland have a complicated relationship. At one point, Jean realizes they’re too dependent on each other. This, along with the pain of the past entangling with the future, causes a push and pull relationship between Jean and Wayland, as they both have to make their lives their own— rather than the ownership of the past. They both work through what has happened to them, in order to create the future they so desperately want.
Read “Good Gone Bad” (temporary title) coming to you soon.

Just a quick thing I have to say: I’m hoping to update before the deadline for the Watty’s, because I’m hoping to enter it in!
