Hello everyone! I know some of you have only recently started following and I'm sorry to start it off on this note. I have to apologize for the lack of updates. I've had a recent loss in my close family and a more recent near-loss. Please bear with me while I work through this. I'll start posting the edited chapters as soon as I have enough for you.

Conversation starter/Writing idea:

How deep does your description go? Not just sights, but sounds, scents, tastes, sensations on the body. The majority of the books I've read have glossed over bodily sensations, unless it's romance, but we have those feelings all the time. Shivers, that feeling of static just under your skin that comes from a sharp spike of adrenaline, goosebumps, sweat itch, etc. Should we only use these for plot reasons, or to make the reader feel the character's life more intensely?

Auric's Notes: Empathy can be scientifically explained as an excess amount of mirror-neurons in the brain.

Finely honed, this trick of neurochemistry can be utilized to an extent that seems, on it's surface, like magic. It is in fact a natural talent similar to musicianship or pencil drawing that can be further trained with time and practice. Some can wield such fine control over their internal empathic skills as to be able to influence other living beings. More than mere charisma, projective empathy can and has been weaponized, though most commonly this ability leads to the subject entering healing or performance fields.

Personal Obs: It is also trainable to an extent in those who, at first, show no aptitude for empathic abilities. This is shown in many clandestine professions and in household servants of more prosperous areas. Though the extent of this trained empathy does not extent as thoroughly into the base personality as those who have an ingrained ability from childhood, leading to much misuse.

The first four heavily revised chapters of Shadow Medicine are up and running!!!

I've temporarily lost my computer and had to do these on my phone, so I apologize for any typos or formatting errors and appreciate anyone letting me know if they exist.

I'm sorry guys the holidays have kicked my brain into the belly of a Krakken and I have to go and get it. Shadow Medicine will be a bit late this month.

The good news is: I had another chapter of Discovering Clarity ready in advance! So January's postings should be on time. Hooray for forethought and too much caffeine!

I'm feeling super excited today. Just got through a really big hurdle mentally, and story-wise with Magic Mist. That being said, I thought I'd do a quick shout out to those I couldn't possibly be doing this without:

@RowanRidley for all the fangirling with me and superb eagle eyes!!! Thank you for telling me what I'm doing right as well as what I'm doing wrong.
My husband for the support and helping me check for typos. I love you!
My high school English teacher turned friend for the encouragement and writing advice.
My grandmother for the design advice. I have no clue how to do glam house design, and that's her forte!
Last but not least: those in the Tuxedo Book Club for your comments and consideration in Shadow Medicine! Thanks guys so much for your feedback!
