My favorite author is Vince Flynn, he writes political thrillers.  I got hooked on the Outlander series and had to check out the books by Diana Gabaldon.  So far I'm enjoying it.  I enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, historical, and political thrillers.  So, all kinds of genres.  One of my favorite books is The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.

I started writing film scripts long ago (nothing came of it) and had an idea for a t.v. show.  Wrote a pilot script and wanted to include more details and before I knew it.  I wanted to write a book.

My interest have been in the electrical side of technologies and history.  My focus have been all over in history and mainly Eastern European into Western Asia.
