I actually got a contract offer from a major novel website in New York! One of their scouts found my work on Wattpad and asked me to write for them. The deal was a monthly paycheck, but the catch was I’d have to drop 2,000+ words every single day.
When I told them I was too busy with my current fics, they suggested I just "originalize" The Mafia’s Bunny!!! meaning I’d have to change the names and locations to strip away the fanfic identity and make it a standalone novel.
I’ll admit, being noticed felt amazing, but I officially turned them down. ♀️
That’s a boundary I’m not willing to cross. I might be broke, but I’m not selling out the characters we love! I write because it makes me happy and because I love showing how beautiful and dedicated us Turtles are to the BJYX fandom. ❤️❤️
I’m doing this for the love of the story, not the money. What do you guys think—did I make the right call??

And as fir AO3 Think of it as a more 'mature' version of Wattpad. There are no algorithms or ads. Instead of scrolling a feed, you use 'Tags' to find exactly what you want to read. The best part? They don't delete stories for being too mature or toooo dark like Mafia's Bunny, so it’s a much safer 'home' for my fics!
