Wattys 2015 winner for my book S.M.A.R.T. - check it out and tell me what you think.
Growing up I was different than most boys. Rather than sports, I'd draw comics, or make up stories about things that lived in the orchards behind my house. I watched lots of TV, and lots of movies and I loved any story. I have fond memories of Munsch and Suess and the like as a youngster, but I really fell in love with reading via the Harry Potter series. My mother got me the second book first. I didn't mind. I loved it just the same. I was the same age as Harry as I read the books.
In highschool I wrote and wrote, mainly crappy poetry that wreaked of youth, but I eventually got the idea for my first novel. I spent years on that, rewriting the first third over and over until I finally learned to complete things and edit after. Writing is my life, and I hope you like my stories.
