I am a freelance developmental editor and writer, which means I get to help other people tell their stories or communicate their messages. A couple of books I have collaborated on made the NYT Bestseller lists; some I have contributed enough to to get a ghostwriting credit (that's when you get a "with" beneath the author's name and then you name appears!). I started as an English teacher, became an editor, and then branched out to start my own company as an editor, writer, and consultant.
I have also had a chance to travel a little and live abroad. I met my wife in the Central African Republic where we were both Peace Corps volunteers, our two children were born in Athens, Greece, and we now live in Boulder, Colorado, where we both write and enjoy the chance to be outdoors so much of the year.
That said, I love stories, ideas, and helping people chase their dreams—especially when those dreams also touch the lives of others. I hope what I share here helps you recognize just how much the world needs your unique voice and gifts, inspires you to develop them, and helps you change your world for the better.
