Riley Lyons was born in New Jersey in 1980 and lives in Georgia. He was wrongfully assigned female at birth and openly transitioned to male in his thirties. He started writing his first children's book (What is That Noise?) in 1998 and finally published it in 2019 after adding some new characters and changing the ending. Riley plans to make it a book series and is currently writing book two in the series which also added a new character! He enjoys including characters of all genders in his writing. Riley feels it is incredibly important that children have access to books that include characters and families of all varieties.

He is a seahorse Papa to 18 year old, Brandon, and 10 year old, Daniella. He tries to be active in LGBTQ and BLM events where and when possible.

When Riley isn't parenting, making coffee, attending online college classes, or enjoying time with his important people, he can usually be found blogging or writing his next book.
