@Rinen2 Well ya...it won't wait for him...but that doesn't really mean anything. Honestly, I think a part of him died with her...so, I think he will always be mourning.
          Sure...it is probably unhealthy. But I doubt he really feels like he has much of a choice....
          She was the only thing he ever loved...and when a person like him loves, it is until death....
          
          
          But, like you said...it's probably not best to linger in it.....but we do not always do what is best for ourselves.

          I suppose that the point of the poem is that Paul simply says that he will never move on...he is "hers" for the rest of his life...
          That (I think) is one of the beautiful things about the piece...I suppose that it is a sort of "permanence"  that many of us long for :)
