My name is Gabriel DeVine. I am in my freshman year of high school.  I love books with a passion. I live in a Christian household and profess faith in Christ as my savior. My parents were not comfortable with the idea of me playing video games, so I turned to books for entertainment. But I eventually started secretly playing video games on my device, against my parent's wishes.
I have started several books before, but never really had the goal of finishing and publishing one until I was introduced to Wattpad.
Here I saw a way to kill two lizards with one stone (why kill birds?). I could write, complete and publish a book. And I could deal with my video game addiction by writing stories about the games rather than playing them. I started doing this with one of my favorite video games: War Robots, developed by Pixonic.
And this is how War Robots: Cadet came to be.
