In the United Kingdom alone there are currently over 57,000 children identified as needing protection from abuse, but for every child identified as needing protection from abuse, another 8 are suffering abuse. 
1 out of 20 boys will go through sexual abuse, and 1 out of 5 girls is being sexually abused before the age of 18. The most of these cases will happen while the child is between 7 and 13 years old.

And that is only the cases that we know of. This is only reported cases of children who have spoken out, but we know there are millions out there still suffering abuse, wanting help but not knowing where to go to. Not knowing who to tell. Afraid of what just might happen.

With many authors on Wattpad telling their stories, children on Facebook and Youtube coming out about their sexual abuse, and supporting survivors in forums and chats, we would like to grow a community that will help and support each other in saying: let's spread the word, because that is the only form of prevention and the only way we will be able to say; it gets better.
