I hope you don't mind me expressing my opinion on the issue of people accusing you of copying @you_got_cookies_234. You obviously aren't copying it word for word, anyone can see that from reading your individual first chapters, but the plot of both is remarkably the same. So it probably is the case of what your best freind said, that you're taking (heavy) inspiration from it. If the case, I give you some advice. When taking heavy inspiration from an author or book, if you want to prevent this from happening again you should probably mention how you took heavy inspiration from that author, and, if your plots are that similar, then ask for permission. Of course, you may have never heard of this author before, and in that case, this may all be a coincidence. Regardless, I hope you have a nice day and continue to write stories, and enjoy them too.
