lmao i like how when we get in debates when my parents run out of things to say they just call me stubborn instead of taking a step back and realizing that i'm fighting for what I believe in just as much as they are, and if that makes me stubborn, then so are they; also, if you have run out of arguments to make, maybe you should consider why you have nothing further to argue -- perhaps some small part of you is realizing you are wrong??

          Just posting this for those who question why I'm sometimes very particular about being anonymous. 
          This is also the reason I need a new pen name. First of all, way too many people now know my main pen name, Elaine Kane, for it to be of any use. Second of all, and this has been a reason before but I was too fond of "ElaineKane" to change it for this reason, is that Elaine Kane is not gender anonymous. Elaine is a distinctly a female name, and, small as it is, it will affect the reader's mindset when reading my works. I want all readers to read with a pure, open mind, untainted by any stereotypes whatsoever. Just words, no writer. :)
          
          (Also no, I will not be telling anybody my new pen name when I have finalized it.)

Hey! Been a bit, how are things?

Walk down memory lane...
          I decided randomly to go back and reread the entire The Treasure Chest from my old account today, and now I'm just very in awe of how far I've come. My old account was a little time capsule of my fifth to eighth grade years. Now, looking back, I'm realizing that I was so immature back then. 
          
          My writing has also definitely improved a lot from the trash of only a year ago. I truly believe that my writing is more meaningful, controlled, concise now. I'm proud to say that I have improved. (A lot, holy schist, I was craaap back then.)
          
          So kiddos, you'll get better. You won't see it at the time, but look back and you'll realize that dang, you used to suck ass in comparison to today. Meant in a positive way. :)
