@nancy_818 @slcwatt55 hi ladies! What are your thoughts so far on Fractured? How does it compare to 7DIM? I’m personally finding more depth in the characters, the story is pretty straight forward, and I’m loving the speed in which the chapters are dropping. I find the story moving a lot faster. Cecily seems to be a real strong character and I love how there is more emphasis in the fractured relationship with the son and how he notices the dad’s absence.

Nancy_818

@Rlaurenson @slcwatt55 My anxiety too! I can’t believe he would mess up his life this badly… what a total idiot! I can’t wait for Ceci to take half of everything he’s earned — that will be a wonderful blow. Oh, and you know Ethan will never speak to him. I cannot wait for Colin to crumble under the losses. (I’m bloodthirsty when it comes to cheaters!)

@Nancy_818 @slcwatt55 oh I HOPE Maya gets pregnant. Lol! I really, really do. The author hasn’t confirmed that they are HEA. I personally want Colin to impregnate Maya and for him to be stuck with her. To have to move into her shitty apartment (although the might get that penthouse).

We also need to learn more about her connection to Ceci’s dad. I want Colin to have a major oh shit moment. Getting caught by Ceci, Maya being pregnant. I don’t think the author is trying to make her seem sympathetic at all, but definitely crazier. She would get clingy, violent. She would call Colin a million times. Throw a shit fit. We know she’s someone Colin wouldn’t be happy with and I want him to see the grass isn’t greener.

I want the confrontation between Ceci and Maya. We are just 4 chapters away! So this Friday. Lol! My anxiety is through the roof, I’ll tell you that much.

@Rlaurenson @slcwatt55 OMG, I’m almost sick after that chapter! Ceci finding out he’s too close to another woman, seeing Alexander in the city!, and the PlanB… which you just know she threw back up, right? Do you suppose she’s even taking the pill or is she hoping to catch him? My stomach is in knots. I like that Ceci has Mark on her side, I think he hasn’t trusted Colin in a while. And Colin, such a scum!!! I can’t WAIT until she leaves him. Actually, I’d guess she moves him out and keeps the house. What do you bet he ends up in the penthouse his dad mentioned that day? What do you think??!

Just wanted to stop by here to say Hi! I’ve seen you on Fractured and The Silent Hour but not on the 7 days (I’m not sure I want to name the book ) lately. Are you still reading it or did you stop? I’m loving both stories and the h’s are both strong in different ways. I can’t wait for stupid Ethan to get his just rewards(he’s rubbing me the wrong way by acting like it’s not a big deal). I want Julia to bring his framing world down!

omleal

I know!!! I hate him! But it was so satisfying. Especially that’s him putting her in her place when she thought she was better than Ceci and that’s why he cheated. I couldn’t scream, I was at work on my break but man did I want to!

@omleal oh yeah I love a rage read! I have such a boring and easy life and it gives me an outlet to let out my aggression on fictional characters. It’s like hating King Jeoffrey in game of thrones. So much fun I also love reading other people’s comments! I get as much of a kick out of them like reading the book itself. Makes me feel validated. And people pick up on shit or say something that has never occurred to me before or let’s me consider a different perspective. And that final chapter of Fractured had me GAGGED. That confrontation between Colin and Maya had me screaming! I had to reread the chapter 2-3 times cause I was breaking my reading with my nonstop commentary This book is soooooo good! I’m excited to read the author’s newest book with the cheating heroine. I already warned the author that I’d be calling her heroine a whore and to not be offended

@RLaurenson @Nancy_818 REALLY LOVING "FRACTURED" BY ISLANDGIRLZL

I just sent a comment to you both on T's page -- but this is GREAT read -- and one where I can "buy" how there might be a redemption because the MC Colin (for as fkd up as he is cheating) -- he really loves and needs his wife. The writer did a great job relaying that viscerally -- how he sleeps with his face in her pillow when she leaves his sorry ass for the Hamptons. I think this guy will go NUTS when she dumps him. And - the FMC has a backbone -- I love her.
She already knows -- and I love that she trusts herself and her gut -- she is no wimp. This book has great pacing, too, so I suspect she won't sit on that lipstick stain for long before she dumps Colin -- this book does NOT drag its feet. Did the author indicate when the big confrontation is by Chp, possibly? I suspect we're close.
Anyway - thanks RL for the recommendation. I'm really enjoying it.

I just replied to you on T’s page! Confrontation happens Chapters 23-25. So coming right up! Probably by the end of this week. The author drops a shit ton of chapters per week with no warning. Sometimes even on weekends.

We have no confirmation on whether it is an HEA or not. Honestly not knowing is making this book very exciting.

I also recommend The Silent Hour by Munroeo something (can’t remember the last name). Again cheating lawyer husband but the wife is fucking craaaazyyyy. And it has mafia elements. It is similar but very different. The author has already said that the FMC will go on a major revenge arc. She’s the type that when “they go low, you go lower.” And she already put the husband and the secretary on notice before they have even started anything. I think you’d enjoy that one as well. It will get your cortisol level spiking

@RLaurenson — I think you may want to move your comment from T says’ page to yours or amulet’ (you can add everyone’s handle too) since T says got shut down for posts to her page seemingly from people on this book that are targeting it. It sounds like the page was stalked and targeted unfairly, but I don’t want to get Tsays in trouble for posts that aren’t hers.

slcwatt55

@Rlaurenson If an author stalks a Reader's individual page to see if her book is being discussed -- and then (unhappy w/ critical opinions) reaches out to her own community/fans to publicly censure and isolate that Reader (and anyone who has communicated w/ that Reader) by calling them "haters" -- THAT is bullying behavior.
If an author is NOT a bully -- she won't be a bully herself -- and she will certainly tell her fans not to be bullies.

@slcwatt55 @nancy_818 Amulet said that some folks were creating accounts on FB to harass her there too. And when the author apologized to her it was like “oh I thought you were with the hater group.” So she’s actually not sorry for her actions but more so that maybe she got the wrong person. Although I’m sure that she felt Amulet was a hater cause she dared to discuss the book with us on T’s page every once in a blue moon. So she lumped her in. I used to be critical of the book- the character inconsistencies, the contradiction of the authors comments vs what we were reading, plot holes, etc. And by the way, everyone was saying the same thing not just us.

But the more I’m seeing the behaviour on how she’s acting online, the more I’m bothered by the overall attitude. She acted extremely defensively over our criticism of the fictional character Emily, but yet she’s encouraging the bullying of real life people. Or at the very least not saying anything. She can see people on there and on Facebook- people getting called names. She should be posting a message saying “please keep your criticisms book related. I don’t encourage name calling of fellow readers. This needs to be a safe space for everyone.” Just as she was demanding respect for a fictional character, she should be posting notes about people being respectful towards each other.

I know she can write whatever she wants and it’s her book and her convo board, but it’s very telling to me about her character and integrity. She only cares about herself not being attacked but is happy to sit back and allow people who have supported her get bullied, reported, censored and insulted. Hell she’ll publicly make it know that you are on her shit list weaponizing her fans. It’s sad. I wanted to like her and her story but she’s giving mean girl energy.

@Nancy_818 @RLaurenson People think Amulet deserved it because the Author has publicly posted that she was part of a “hater group”’— and they believe her. No one knows other than what the Author is publicly disseminating about her readers. None of them know that the Author went on a Reader’s page to read the comments - that they weren’t on her book or her page — or that they were criticisms about the book. So, who is the bully now?

@RLaurenson I think Tsaysshesays has been suspended… and I’m probably not going to post there because it’s not worth risking my account with all my history etc. while the stalkers are problematic. It’s sad that it’s come to this! BTW, I was removed from the B&G subchat also, apparently by the group leader.

Nancy_818

@RLaurenson Wow! I haven’t had a chance to check out Fractured yet, but it seems like Wattpad and every PPC site is filled with cheater stories. I wonder if the plots are that similar. If you hear more interesting stuff in the FB group, you know where I am. :) Perhaps just don’t reference the book title or author by name.

Hi RL, my friend. I really liked your post on the 7Days Board saying the latest Chp is really trying to make Emily weak -- and that it seems that the author is doing so with the purpose of showing a pushover who will eventually just take her crappy husband back. It was really well stated -- and 100% correct! Tomorrow -- whew -- we'll see what we get. I'm still hoping the author shifts Emily into "compilation of evidence mode" -- as it sounds like she will do from the comments. But, will that still be w/ the backdrop of Emily's characters being as a total doormat? (I hope not.)

Rlaurenson

Hey lady! Thanks! I think the author intentionally “reset” our expectations of Emily since she seems at this point unable to present a good loving husband out of David or show us a marriage we could have rooted for. It’s too late and it’s too hard. Which again feels like we were misled from her declarations of “David’s true love is Emily”, he was a “flawless” husband, “everyone else “says so”, Google “says cheating husbands love their wives”. Since there is no other good side to David in this book (again her choice to make his such a villain for maximum impact), she’s just gonna water down our hero to your regular, run of the mill, white picket fence doormat and label her as “strong” for choosing to forgive David in the end cause he had daddy issues and “it’s always been David.” That’s just my thought process
