I understand many of you are searching for detailed, honest, and balanced critique for your writing, rather than the routine, well-meaning plaudits by those who are trying to be supportive.  Unfortunately, we rarely grow when we receive nothing but encouraging compliments.  To become an effective writer, one must develop their talent by practice, research, analysis, and by having the humility to seek fair and constructive criticism from others.
          	
          	Over the years, I have been a writer, editor, and publisher of periodicals and technical literature.  And I have been exposed to plenty of criticism, regardless of its intent.  And as a result, I am a believer in providing honest, yet balanced critique.  I believe in the old adage of stepping on one’s toes without messing up their shine.  I am here to help if anyone is humble enough to consider my perspective of their writing.  And I am willing to review and provide detailed edits for up to 6 chapters of your work at no cost.  All I ask is that you read my novel, The Lost Dream, in it’s entirety - in advance - and offer any comments if you should so choose.  By reviewing my writing, you can make an educated decision as to whether you feel my input would be of value.
          	
          	Keep in mind, this is not a read-for-read offer!  I take editing seriously and will take considerable time to review and comment on your writing.  I will tell you when I believe your writing is good, and not-so-good.  And I will explain why.
          	
          	Already, I have offered critique to a few writers on here, e.g.  @Ashpoint, @Lucymary69, and others.  So please feel free to message them regarding their opinions of my suggestions.  Either way, I wish you the best in your writing pursuits!

@RobertMcShae Understood. I’m not sure when I’ll get to reading your book but it will be sometime soon as I am busy today. 
            
            I’m Angelique, 17, and I enjoy reading dystopian novels that revolve around an alternate reality. I’m a graduating senior and I’m not sure what else to say haha.

Thanks for the inquiry.  I would be happy to be of assistance.  However, did you read through my entire post?  I do not offer a “read-for-read” service as I feel what I offer - as a former publisher and editor - is of greater value than providing simple expressions of encouragement.
            
            While I do not seek monetary compensation, I do ask that you read my novel, The Lost Dream, in its entirety - in advance.  That way, you will gain first hand knowledge of my capabilities as well as provide me with valuable overall feedback.  I do not seek any in-chapter comments or encouragement as the book is a completed work.
            
            However, I would like to know a little about members of my audience and how they felt about the overall plot and character development.  I need considerable feedback regarding the overall story as a whole, and how it affects my readers. I hope you understand.
            
            Thank you, again, for your interest.  If you would like to proceed, please let me know.  I do not care about votes and other such trivialities, just a summary review once you have completed the book.  And, of course, some background information about yourself.
