Penning a piece of literature falls under the class of pursuits where blood, sweat, and tears are freely expended knowing full well that compensation is never guaranteed.
It's magic though, isn't it? The writer uses black and white text to evoke real emotion out of thin air. There are no cinematographers, directors, sound stages, or music scores.
