It's so good to be back, taking peeks at different works, wondering who is getting ready for this year's Watty's. I plan on doing it more often. Must say, my old buddy, @Rypool28, your new story is a winner!
RogueWriter55
@RogueWriter55 Thank you so much! But, alas, I'm on hiatus from writing. I decided to try traditional publishing, and luck was, then wasn't on my side.

Okay, I heard Wattpad was getting rid of DMs on May 6, 2024. Tell me WHY are my messages gone May 5, 2024????
SO RUDE.
RogueWriter55
Hello Wattpad! Guess who is finally back????
Or should I say, did anyone notice I was gone? *giggling*
Did I miss anything?
RogueWriter55
Well, guess I'm going to force myself to do it, unpublish some of my works and fix them... I guess The Clearing is first, in a week or so.
Do others procrastinate about editing as I do?
RamadhanMukasa
@RogueWriter55 , I sincerely see no reason to fix The Clearing. It's an interesting story that I am reading and I'm curious on why you might want to fix something with the book

What a fun adventure! If you think it’ll take a while to edit, you could always put your current draft into a google or word doc and keep the current draft on Wattpad until you’re ready to start reposting (that way people currently reading have the chance to keep admiring it!). Just a suggestion as that’s what I’ve done in the past while rewriting or editing significantly. Good luck! I’m sure the next version will be amazing, can’t wait to reread.

@RogueWriter55 I originally wrote the second and third Greatest Thief books about 8 years ago and now I'm rewriting them, so... yes haha

Hi. How are you? It's been a while since I'm here on Wattpad. XD
karinberry
@RogueWriter55 I'm not on here much too XD being busy with little one lol. Trying to find some time to continue editing my books since last year (which failed miserably). Missed you a lot too! Hoping to read the second book whenever my baby is sleeping XD

Hei there! thank you for voting on my cover shop! I really appreciate your support! :)

Well, I know I've been pretty much MIA on Wattpad lately (so much going on in the outside world) but it was a shocker to drop in and see, The Clearing was one of five that won an Amby for Fantasy! I've been debating in the back of my mind whether to mark my writing journey as complete... this really does tip the scale in a different direction.
Congratulations to all the winners!

Just curious if anyone feels like answering or has experienced this... do writers pander more to the negative comments than the positive or ones that are genuine constructive criticism?
Why do the (for example) eight negative comments seem to hold more weight than the fifty positive or helpful ones?
