(Epilogue of debates about Living Tribunal from marvel and Lambdadelta from Umineko no Naku Koro ni)
let's even skip your awesome lists of "template archetypal maximalist" characters, who either say frankly little about anything, or do not correspond to objective reality, and even expert crap towards Ryukishi-writing. And like there is no such crap in comcis, high-quality characters can probably be counted on the fingers, everything else: supermens, spiders, all sorts of power-level log crap, all sorts of avengers, maniacs, former circus actors, servants of Satan, talking about death and destroying people out on an industrial scale for the amusement of the public, and so on, well, and crazy versions of all this from alternative universes of other authors. Anime, unlike Comcis, grew out of the 50-70s with all sorts of naive, ridiculous and childish slag, and during its entire existence the industry was able to generate over 9000 different directions, potentially covering all areas of society, and all of this somehow stays afloat stably, no one is left.
While comcis can usually offer us either stereotypical cliched superheroics or decay-coffin-cemetery in its worst manifestation. Actually, as it has always been, and why is it so?
Well, the fact that all sorts of omg concepts of creation and other faceless realty warpers of the universe are dipped in ctap is of course good, such crap is ideally not needed at all or should represent something decent. Another thing is that usually the same pretentious street levels, not just other reality warpers of allcreations appointed by TOAA/Presence himself.
