There's only one timeline where Dark Matter crashed the Tree of Life (and with it, Earth) into the Sun. There' it consumed the star's power, and went even further beyond, eventually transcending time and space.
Every universe has been destroyed.
Except for one.
Fighters from across the Multiverse gather at a cliffside during the Last Sunset, prepared to give their lives in order to stop Dark Matter.
But they just can't.
Darkness (and with it, coldness and Dark Matter's influence) consumed everyone.
Except for one.
As the world was being consumed by Dark Matter, an Eevee with rainbow wings named Sunset Shimmer outsped and outmaneuvered all of Dark Matter's void beams. There came a point where he was able to escape.
Two Years and Eight Days later, Sunset returns from his time jump and awakens in the New World, one of Dark Matter's creation.
He travels this new world, freeing the Fighters of the Last Sunset and going to defeat Dark Matter... or whatever it's become...
It is now an entity called ORD.
