I'm not upset about the bible being ancient. That's silly. It's the "ancient ass book" that bothered me. Even still, I'm not offended, just annoyed. You're right the author can do whatever he want with his book. It's just disrespectful to see comments like that on a person's faith. For me, I believed in God my whole life, and not saying anything just feels wrong. The bible has several versions. We believe that God is the author of the bible with humans as the writers. So the meaning is the same, but the way it is written if different. Mainly because the bible is translated from another language. King James is one of the first versions of the bible to release, with old English words like "thou" and "thy". There is also NIV bibles, Good News, Gideon etc. The name of the bible is The Holy Bible. King James and the ones I mentioned above are just the variants in bibles.
