We all know what happened Saturday night here in Orlando. We all know how most adults react but I don't think most people think of how will this effect someone younger to see this kind of violence in there home town. I didn't react, but in me I felt this dread. And multiple questions rising at my throat, just stuck. Why would anyone want to hurt people because they don't agree with there lifestyle. Why would you take it to the extreme and take husband's from their wives, son's from their mothers, mother's from their children. Why was killing the answer? I was brought up to love everyone, even if you don't agree with them, you still love them unconditionally like they are yourself. Do I have to watch my back now, do I have to keep one eye open at night, do I have be scared when we go to an amusement park because someone might come running in with a gun? Do I have to constantly worry? This is America I thought America was full of the good people, I thought America was for the free and the brave. I have grown up surrounded by such good amazing people, but to think that someone like this was just lurking around the corner. This is my home town, this is where I was born, where I was raised and now Orlando isn't labeled as having Disney World. No, now it's labeled as the place with the worst massacre in the country. You ruined the place I have always felt safe and secure at, you damaged it, you scarred that safety I have always felt. I'm scared to be here, I'm scared of what the world is turning into. So please, don't think of my home as a place with the one the worst killings in America. Think of it as the place you went to Disney World and had the time of your life. That is Orlando. Not what he made it to be. This is my home.
