I need some damned help. Smth about this doesn't sound right (asides from the obvious) so please anyone
Somehow,
I've come last in a race I didn't know I was in
I believed you'd see my love came from within
So like the turtle, I trusted the steady beating of my heart.
But as soon as I saw how the snake and the goose watched me with hate,
And I realised then, how you'd sealed my fate
Because past that finish line,
I knew!
Our friendship would never bend beyond your design
They say in the end, the turtle beat the hare
But I no longer think that's true,
It's only so slow that I can go
Before they all begin to turn to you
Because in my place lies an upgraded person!
A better, stronger, faster version,
Someone who isn't just an empty shell that's
Waiting,
To be sent to Hell.
Also in no way whatsoever do these two stanzas end up next to eachother, it's just all I've got rn
