Hi everyone,
I wanted to explain why I’ve taken down my Sebastian Sallow / Hogwarts Legacy books.
A couple of people have messaged me on TikTok and on my conversation board asking where they’ve gone, and I do want to say thank you for reaching out. Even a few messages asking about the stories meant a lot to me. I know it’s probably disappointing if you were in the middle of reading them or had been following them for a while, and I’m genuinely sorry for that.
The people who read my books, left comments, got excited for updates, or quietly followed along have always been the best part of posting here. You’re the reason those stories existed in the first place, and I’ll always appreciate the support you gave them and me.
The truth is that over the last year, the environment around this fandom has slowly drained the enjoyment out of writing for me.
There are people in this fandom who have seemed absolutely determined to make me feel unwelcome here. What should have been a creative space to share stories has too often felt cliquey, hostile, and exhausting to be part of. I’ve watched the gossip, the whispering, the blatant attempts to undermine people, and the way certain groups push others out.
At times, it has genuinely felt like certain people have fought tooth and nail to push me out of a space that is constantly described as a “safe” and “supportive” fandom.
It doesn’t feel very safe when you’re the one on the receiving end of that behaviour.
I’m tired of pretending that kind of behaviour doesn’t exist here. This fandom likes to present itself as supportive and safe, but there are also bullies and snakes in it, and I’m exhausted from being around that energy.
I also believed I had formed some real friendships here. People I trusted and thought genuinely cared about me. People I believed had my back. But recent actions have shown me very clearly that they really don’t, and I’ve seen them in a completely different light.
