And I want to follow up that post by saying this: I am SO thankful for the platform y'all gave me. Hell I even got a DM one time saying one of my Harry Potter stories made it on Tik Tok lmao. I never thought I'd make 10 followers on here, let alone over 500. I'm thankful for the people who left positive comments, you guys really did make my day. I think going forward this is what's best for me and my mental health. I'm sure I'll get negative comments on my OC stories, but the thing is with the reader inserts, I kinda inserted myself as Y/N. So some mannerisms mimicked my own, or outfits mimicked what I would wear. Getting those negative comments was like a hit to me, which honestly I should NOT have done in the first place at all. Doing self inserts was a good stepping stone in the right direction in writing, but it was a bad idea to do it in the long run for my self esteem. I'd always tell myself "oh it's not me" but I knew deep down I was really just doing it because I wanted to be with the characters, and this was the best way I knew how to do it. I think having people criticize my characters versus my reader inserts, it will be easier to take the negativity. I'll take this experience and grow as a writer and a person. I'm once again sorry to the people who enjoyed my stories, I think this is the best direction for me going forward. Thank you again for reading, and if you decide to stick around, I plan on expanding stories from not just the minecraft universe, but hopefully into my own universes as well. Not only that, but I plan on doing original art with my stories as well! I hope you look forward to it, and thank you from the bottom of my heart once again, for reading.
