when I wright my main characters can be a boy or a girl

My stories take place on a different planet. There are seven moons, eight months. each moon has there own month except last witch has all seven moons. there are 46 days in one month the 23rd day is the full moon. Order of the moons are Fire(Red), Water(blue), Wind(Purple), Earth(green), Light(white), Shadow(gray), and Darkness(black). This planet is un-creatively called 7moons.
