Greetings! My name is Ryan Throckmorton. I'm thirty three years old, married, and I have two small children. I only recently (two years ago), discovered a passion for writing. I grew up with the idea that I might become a video game programmer. I loved old games like Jetpack that allowed me to create my own levels or stories. It only later dawned on me that telling a story is the part of it I was craving. Programming wasn't in the cards.

One day I was driving with my wife and an idea hit me, I immediately filtered it into how I could make a game out of it. Almost as quickly, I quashed the idea as impossible. You don't make games, remember? It was almost like in the movies where you see a flashback with a collage of memories. It skipped from pre-kindergarten, where I was mesmerized that my mother could turn these crazy symbols into stories and pictures in my mind, to 2nd grade, writing stories about dinosaurs for my class (I was obsessed), to always counting on an easy A in my English classes in high school.

I'm a bit dense, I'll admit it. I scored very high in my English placement tests in college. I did well in my literature classes where I got my first small taste for writing. My whole life, it seemed, was trying to tell me that I should be doing this, and I ignored it because it's not what I thought I should be doing. It took a long time to even utter the whisper of a thought, that I could consider being a writer. Back in the car though, everything finally connected. I decided I would go for it. From then on the story has pestered and bothered me. I think I might go crazy if I don't get it out of my head. Even when I've wanted to give up or have gone through some difficult life moments that made me want to quit. The story always presses me on.

My writing is still not perfect, nor will it ever be, but I can see the progress from my earlier chapters to the ones I'm posting now. I'm excited to share a part of myself in hopes of collaborated adventures.
