ok, does anybody remember this book or am i just insane. it's set in like the future and is in space and is gay. here is like a gist of the book: the book starts out with this guy being dragged to a slave trading place and has to bet on two slaves fighting against each other. he bets on the smaller of the two who turns out to be a cat hybrid alien and he wins and gets a lot of money so he decides to buy the hybrid to set him free. well the hybrid joins this guys crew because he's a captain and they slowly start to form a friendship that turns into love. they then have to go on this mission to save somebody and that's when it's revealed that the captain dude is like this child soldier that was tortured into killing everybody even themselves and his eyes glow gold and he's accused of killing a lot of people and it kind of like ends there. the book was still on going at the time but i can't remember the name or who was writing and it was a really good book and i wanna read it again. if anybody can help me that would be great :)
