I’m making the Outcasts AU book and I’m extremely nervous about what people might think. I know some people will respect it, but there are also people who will often try to force their own opinions and beliefs on what a Fnaf AU should be. For example someone started a whole argument thread on why another person’s FNAF AU was completely wrong and stupid. The creator themselves had to address it after the constant criticism from this person and finally blocked them.
This is the thing that I hate. I hate others who try to force their way down other people’s throats. It’s annoying.
Can’t we just normalize that other people have different views and preferences for their characters? Besides, AU, literally means “alternate universe”.
Let’s normalize NOT hating on each other for their own views and beliefs. AU’s are different universes with different views and different interpretations, meaning they can be seen in different ways. They don’t have to be canonically correct, people are allowed to have theories and opinions. It’s what an AU is meant to be, full of ideas and concepts, not whatever people tell you it should be.
