IT'S A HUMBLE REQUEST FROM MY END TO EVERY INDIAN OUT THERE : Please do watch India's games in the ongoing Men's Hockey World Cup if possible, all it shall take is an hour out of 24, to celebrate hockey, an integral part of Indian history and heritage. Let's all support our team and Indian hockey, which is now steadily rising to former glory. Since most Indian sport viewers are cricket fans, it's a special request to them, a T20 cricket match lasts for approximately 3.5 hours, so can't you spare just an hour out of a cricket match to support our hockey team? Let's watch bilateral series, U-19 WC and B-G trophy a little less to support our hockey team. Hockey may not be our national sport, but it is our tradition, heritage and culture and as Indians it is our duty to preserve and promote it. Remind yourself, India was once not too far from reaching the fate that our Pakistani counterparts have today. The most successful team in the Hockey World Cup has NOT QUALIFIED for this year's World Cup, not because Pakistani players are in any manner lesser in talent, but due to negligence from their board, lack of resources and support from the general public. Pakistan, who once ruled international hockey along with India now have the game reduced merely a namesake national game. They might have forgotten their culture and roots, but let us not. Let's support our hockey team, who have started their WC campaign with a 2-0 victory over Spain and hopefully shall continue on and forward. Best wishes team India. Thank you for taking your time out to read this.

@aesthetenyctophile_ Hello neighbour. I'm glad that you resonate with my sentiment. I have all my eyes on Paris 2024 too. This is time for peak viewership for other sports. In fact I started watching archery and badminton for Olympics themselves. All the best to both our countries ❤️

@RuchaMD heyyy... sorry for late reply... I became your follower lately but I agree with your statement. I'm from BD (hello neighbour) and I though may not know about most sports that much but I love it when my country wins something. Even I hate it when I hear someone not giving importance to other sports due to Cricket (and Football in my country) though I love these two games. Hopefully our nations will be great in the Olympics 2024. Let's hope for the best, didi. ♥

Can you tell me!
How to move on after listening that Rohit and Virat has taken retirement from T20I!
Koi please RO-KO ko roko from taking retirement!

I can't understand what to do! Should I be happy for Team India winning the trophy or cry that the beasts of T20I, The backbone of ICT are retiring from this format!

RuchaMD

@amishamay131 be happy because they atleast got the retirement they deserved. Better to be out on a high than the board showing them the way out like what happened after last T20 WC

What an innings by the Rohit I'm so thrilled to see our skip back in form, it was as if the clock turned back to 2019. A bit sad 'cause we lost the match but Rohit won all our hearts and set us smiling and dancing!

My mind has gone totally blank seeing this news, the shock hasn't subsided for me to fathom anything and form paragraphs and essays about this, for now I can just say Chinnathala, thank you for everything. Hope this sums up all my emotions.

Personal opinion: Suresh Raina's is the best smile I've seen in the entire universe, so genuine and selfless ❤️

@RuchaMD yeah, and it's scary. Normal people have childhood best friends, but I have my little world of cricket which I wouldn't exchange for anything else in this world. This officially marks the end of my childhood. Raina taught me selflessness and sportsmanship, and I'm still in love with his fielding. People like him and Shikhar make the world a place worth living in.

@RuchaMD agree, his and Shikhar's. The selfless, happiest-at-others'-success smile
Raina was my FIRST favourite player, him and Gauti...everything's ending fast isn't it

Happy 75th Independence Day Today, if you are a part of any flag hoisting event or the #harghartiranga initiative, then please ensure that our rashtradhwaj is folded properly and well-taken care of after the event. Hopefully, the patriotism we show today shall remain the same for the rest 364 days of the year and we do not see any tiranga lying on the roads, or in trash cans after the event. Setting the tiranga as your Display Picture is useless, if you do not realise our freedom fighters' sacrifices for our freedom. It has not come for free, so let's all respect the huge price of our freedom and selflessly serve the nation in our own way. Jai Hind Bharat Mata ki Jai
