Whew! I've been digging deep. Revisiting and refining my character profiles and arcs. I've completed a top-level review of the plot for both 'Favored Concubine' and 'Beloved Wife'. I've identified a few plot points that will conflict with my intended character arcs, but otherwise have been making notes on 2-3 revision priorities for each chapter. For those who read the original, you will still recognize the story, characters, and plot, but I hope to refine and improve the existing prose. I've finished my prep work and am ready to start executing my revision plan. I hope to start posting revised chapters soon! Here's a little peek into the inner thoughts of three of our characters:

“If I love enough, endure enough, sacrifice enough, everything will be worth it.”

“Sacrifice is the price of leadership.”

“Happiness is fleeting; survival is not.”

The prep work has begun! I am equal parts excited and terrified! The last several days, I've been going through my original drafts, plot, timeline, character, and location notes to help me get reorganized. I had hundreds of pages; almost 25K words in notes (outline, timeline, characters, and places) and 75K of previously written chapters between both novellas (Favored Concubine and Beloved Wife). They were spread across multiple Word documents, and it was a bit overwhelming. Before I attempt to revise, re-release, and finish writing, I decided to look for better writing software. I have now compiled everything into a new (consolidated) home for my story, and I am excited to have all my drafts and notes in one place! With a little more work, I hope to start re-reading and revising soon. ✍️ Send good vibes and lots of writing inspiration my way!

Hello everyone! After a five-year hiatus, I’m officially back on Wattpad.

To all of you who stayed subscribed, left kind messages, or simply never unfollowed—thank you. I’ve truly missed writing, and with the New Year approaching, I’m determined to return to my writing routine. Forbidden Ambitions is still the only story I’ve ever shared publicly, and it has never stopped whispering to me. I recently revisited my page and reread your comments, and your support meant more than you could ever know.

Before I begin posting new chapters, I’ll be revising and editing the original parts of the story to strengthen the writing and rebuild the world (hopefully). Once those updates are complete, I’ll move forward with finishing the full trilogy.

For the time being, I am republishing the world-building details of Forbidden Ambitions, but hope to start republishing the edited chapters of 'Favored Concubine' soon!

I’m excited, a little nervous, and incredibly grateful to be writing again. Thank you for your patience—let’s bring this story to its true ending together.

I am someone that really is a sucker for historical fiction, so when I saw this book, o figured it held lots of potential. So, I read and I love the way all the characters played out. It really is a nice book. Keep up the good work.
