hi guys, so here's the thing.
          
          I wrote a man so specifically, suspiciously perfect that the universe apparently got tired of watching me project, and decided to do something about it. now there's a man. in my main character's life. fully real, fully confused, and completely her problem to figure out.
          
          I am so excited for you guys to meet him. and her. and the disaster they're about to become together.
          
          FMC IS MISSING is the story of Laiza, who spent two years quietly writing an unpublished manuscript about the man she wished existed, and Rui, the man she wrote, who wakes up one night on her floor with no memory of anything except his own name and a woman he's apparently supposed to love.
          
          it's funny until it isn't. it's soft until it really isn't. and yes, before you ask, I did write this because I wanted a fictional man of my own and then got a little too honest with myself about why that's a coping mechanism and not a personality trait.
          first chapter drops THIS SUNDAY.
          
          come find out what happens when the person you invented to feel less alone starts becoming someone you have to actually let yourself be loved by.

Hey! I wasn't sure if this was intentional or not, but I noticed Chapters 16 and 17 seem to be two different versions of the same event. I wasn't sure if one was an older draft that got posted by accident, so I just wanted to let you know in case you weren't aware. Both chapters are about the end of choir practice and Andres letting Sam know he'd be missing some practices because of intrams.
          I also noticed that a lot of Chapter 18 is identical to Chapter 12 (word for word). I wasn't sure if that was intentional either or if there was a posting/editing mix-up, so I wanted to let you know about that too... just in case.

          Almost Someone's Love Story is close. Not finished yet, but far enough along that I know exactly where it's going and how it ends. Still writing it carefully. Still giving it the time it asks for.

          I'm Rui Aiya. I wrote Almost Someone's Love Story because I wanted to write something that didn't feel like it was in a hurry. No grand romantic gestures, no dramatic misunderstandings.
