Rumplethreechins

"Chapter Three

          Lillian Roger's POV-- Thursday April 5, 2012

I smile and nod. I loved it when dad gave me fighting lessons.

"Try to keep your center of balance right here and push with all of your force through your arm."

I punch the bag and it sways a bit.

"Perfect! Now try moving around more. Move your feet a bit and try with each hand."

I bounce around a bit, firing a few punches at the punchbag and making it move a bit before dad stops me.

          "Time for a break."

"Really? I was just getting it."

"I have to go pick Ivy up."

"Can I practice while you pick her up?"

"No, but you can come with me."

I sigh and smile. I can't say no to my dad. After mom died we try our best to take care of Ivy. I take off my gloves and we go upstairs to pick Ivy up.

On Saturdays Ivy goes with her personal trainer and works out. For a six year old she is really strong. Right now we'll have to go to the pool because the lanes are open. Dad gives me fighting lessons when Ivy's training. At out house we learn nothing but respect and strength. That way we are strong and can defend ourselves, but only do it if we have to.

I run inside to go get Ivy.

          "Ready to go?"

I ask and she looks up at me happily. Her curly blonde hair is pulled up in pigtails, I had to do it since dad has no idea how to do our hair.

          "I swam really fast today."

She says and steps out of the pool.

"Yes you did extremely well for someone who claims to hate water."

Her coach says and she grins.

"I like water, just not baths."

I nod, I still hate water and swimming.

          "Ready to go?"

I ask again and she grabs a towel.

          "Yep!"

We run out to the van and she drips all over the place.

          "How was swimming?"

Dad asks as she gets her seat belt on.

          "I did really good!"

Dad gives an enthusiastic smile and we go home, I love how my dad has a way with Ivy. He can make her smile no matter what. When we get home a man with an eye patch is sitting a..." http://wattpad.com/story/2558276
