A spoon is a utensil consisting of a shallow bowl, oval or round, at the end of a handle. A type of cutlery, especially as part of a place setting, it is used primarily for transferring food to the mouth. Spoons are also used in food preparation to measure, mix, stir and toss ingredients and for serving food. 

The first spoons were made from animal bones or wood, then graduated to clay models, – which were eventually replaced with bronze and then silver. Forks originally had one prong, until the Romans added one more in the Middle Ages. Before the advent of forks, humans used two knives to eat food

Over time, humans have perfected very few things. One of those rare occurrences are the various spoon types for every possible use. It's easy to understand why since cooking and eating have been key components to our survival.

Metal = Yum.
